Rose Chavez-Rocha joined the Community Foundation in July 2018 as Office Manager. In addition to managing office operations, she is dedicated to raising the bar of service to our donors, nonprofit partners, visitors and staff at the Foundation. Rose is always one step ahead, keeping our facility and our team operating at a high level.

A Watsonville native, Rose has more than two decades of office management and financial expertise with Pajaro Valley Unified School District, the City of Santa Cruz, and a nonprofit close to her heart, Esperanza del Valle Folklorico, a nonprofit dance and cultural organization. Rose knows how to roll up her sleeves to get the job done, evident by her work as an instructor helping parents acquire new technology skills, and as president of her homeowner’s association.

Rose is dedicated to leaving things better than she found them, and is passionate about finding ways to improve processes and help others with the small steps toward change. She loves working at the Foundation because she’s met wonderful people, been introduced to the important work of local nonprofits, and witnessed the good that can be done when people come together to accomplish common goals.
