It can be challenging to find this information and that’s why we've joined forces with Monterey Bay Economic Partnership to bring free career resources through the Monterey Bay Career Connect website. A one-stop-shop for college and career readiness, the website provides information about local career pathways, scholarships, and skills training programs in the region.
On the website, you can connect to Monterey Bay Career Coach which allows users to take a career assessment, explore careers, salary information, responsibilities, qualifications, and live job postings within the Monterey Bay region and California. You can also browse local community college programs from Cabrillo College, Gavilan College, Hartnell College, and Monterey Peninsula College, bookmark careers and programs of interest, and build a professional resume & download to Microsoft Word -- ALL FOR FREE!
The website also links to Monterey Bay Internships, an online internship portal. Initially funded by Community Foundation Santa Cruz County, since it’s inception in early 2016, it has grown substantially with over 4,900 users. Connecting college-level students in the region with local employers, the site provides a way for students to gain valuable job experience while attending college or university and gives local employers access to the talent here in the Monterey Bay region.
