Robin Larsen

Donor Services Officer

A self-proclaimed “philan-therapist,” Robin offers a confidential and supportive ear to donors combined with expertise on donor-advised funds and charitable estate planning. She first approaches her work with a donor’s best interests in mind, then provides information and resources to help people give back in fulfilling ways to our community.

Robin has been with Community Foundation since 1996 and understands deeply how to support donors in making a positive impact on the place we call home. Prior to the Foundation, she was the Grants and Marketing Manager at the Cultural Council (now the Arts Council) of Santa Cruz County, overseeing grants to arts organizations and coordinating Open Studios. Robin found her way into nonprofit administration after jumping ship on course to becoming a CPA.

Today, Robin still considers herself an “arts person” and continues to be inspired by the richness of the arts in our county. As a Santa Cruz native with a B.A. in History from UCSC, she is passionate about our community remaining a place that honors its past, preserves its uniqueness, and makes it possible for people of all backgrounds to live and work here.

Ask Robin about...

The language and mechanics of philanthropy can be confusing. Robin is here to help! She is great at demystifying charitable giving terminology and has special insight on estate planning and donor-advised funds. Her job is to listen and learn about your charitable goals, then offer ideas about the best ways to give back.
