Application Timeline

December 16, 2020 - Application open

February 5, 2021 - Application deadline (11:59 pm PST)

February 10, 2021 - Renewal Form open

March 1, 2021 - Renewal Form deadline (11:59 pm PST)

February through April - Application review period

April 30, 2021 - All applicants will be notified of their status

Mid-July 2021 - Scholarship Award funds disbursed

What You Will Need

Before you begin your application, please gather the required items that apply to you:

  • ACT/SAT Test Scores: Incoming College Freshmen and Sophomores (if applicable).
  • High School Transcript: Incoming College Freshmen and Sophomores.
  • College/University Transcript: Incoming College Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors only.
  • 2021 FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR): All applicants. If you have not yet requested your FAFSA Student Aid Report, click here.
  • Letter of Recommendation: All applicants.

Am I eligible?

What do scholarships pay for?

Awards can be used towards tuition, fees, books, supplies, required equipment, room and board, and other relative expenses.

How are recipients selected?

Selections are made by the scholarship committee and approved by our board of directors, based on the criteria outlined in our scholarships.

What happens if my academic plans change?

Make sure your application indicates your final college choice. If your college choice changes, it is your responsibility to notify CFSCC as soon as possible at If you have been awarded a scholarship and your check needs to be reissued for any reason, a reissue fee may apply. NOTE: Some scholarships have specific enrollment requirements. A change in college could result in a forfeit of the award.

I’m a current recipient, how will my scholarship get renewed?

Please fill our a renewal application (due by March 1, 2021). Renewable scholarship payments will be made upon receipt of annual renewal forms for up to three additional years or until a degree is earned, whichever is first. Renewal is contingent upon maintaining the cumulative GPA and enrollment status as specified in the scholarship eligibility description. An e-mail notification will be sent to the e-mail you provided on your original scholarship application when it is time to renew your award. Please email if your email has changed.

What reminders and status notifications can I expect to receive?

  • Deadline Reminders: Deadline reminder emails will be sent two (2) weeks and about one (1) week prior to the application deadline.
  • Recommendation Deadline Reminder: You may receive a notification after the application deadline but prior to the recommendation deadline if your recommendation is still incomplete.
  • Selection Results: Selection results notifications are sent to all applicants.
  • Renewal Instructions: If awarded a renewable award, you will be sent a notification when it is time to renew your award.
  • Funds Disbursed: Once your funds have been issued, you will be notified.
