Estate Planning for Community Impact — The Memorandum of Charitable Intent

About the Speaker

Emily Buchbinder’s practice focuses on estate planning (Trusts, Wills, Durable Powers of Attorney, Advance Health Care Directives) for individuals and couples with estates of all sizes. In addition, she has extensive experience in probate matters, trust and estate administration, and taxation.

Emily served as the Chairperson of the Santa Cruz County Bar Estate Planning Council for ten years. She is a former Board Member of the Community Foundation of Santa Cruz County, the Santa Cruz Cancer Benefit Group, and Habitat for Humanity. Prior to opening her own practice, she worked at Bosso Williams, the Grunsky Law Firm, and Deloitte Tax.

Emily is a graduate of UC Berkeley, Brown University, the Defense Language Institute (Japanese), Monterey College of Law, and Golden Gate University. She is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law by the California Bar Association Board of Legal Specialization. She has an LL.M. in Taxation (Legal Masters in Laws) and has an AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell, as rated by her peers.
