Beverly Turner established this fund in 2002 to honor the memory of her late husband, John, who retired after a career as an electrical engineer. In retirement, John volunteered for 15 years as a teacher's aide in the ESL program at Watsonville Adult Education. He enjoyed perfecting his Spanish-speaking skills and working with the students, for whom he displayed great respect. Beverly established this fund to help Watsonville High School graduates who have a strong desire to pursue their higher education.
