Both Emmett and Elsie Geiser spent their careers in education and were committed to the students of the Pajaro Valley Unified School District. Emmett was involved in athletics as a coach at Watsonville High School and the stadium is named after him. In her will, Elsie Geiser established this endowed scholarship at the Foundation.
Gina Horath (no picture available) is a graduate of Aptos High School and Douglas Johnson (no picture available) is a graduate of Watsonville High School.
- Graduating senior from Watsonville, Aptos or Pajaro Valley High Schools
- A minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 in college preparatory courses
- Letter in at least one sport
- Letter of recommendation from the school's scholarship committee, athletic director or athletic coach stating the students athletic and academic achievements
- Financial need is considered, but is not a determining factor
- Attend an accredited four-year college or university in the fall following graduation
- Maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average (G.P.A.)
- Two $1,000 awards
- Renewable for up to three additional years
The Foundation has one common scholarship application that is used to apply for all scholarships (expect the Matt's Climb Scholarship).

The Foundation's scholarships are administered by Scholarship Management Services, a department of Scholarship America. Scholarship America is a national nonprofit educational support and student aid service organization that seeks to expand educational opportunities and encourage educational achievement.
