How Nonprofits Get in BoardMatch

BoardMatch benefit Santa Cruz County nonprofits, businesses and individuals by helping local people learn about board service and then letting us connect them to organizations serving the causes they care about.

We recruit individuals with professional experience and skills who have a desire to give back to the community. Participants have included retired business and education professionals, corporate managers and staff, small business owners, realtors and investment bankers.

In the last five years we placed over sixty individuals into board service with dozens of local nonprofits.

Want to participate?

In 2010 we will be offering two sessions for potential board candidates.

The first, held in February, was for members of Santa Cruz Next, a group of young professionals interested in community engagement.

The second, in March, is open to all individuals not currently on a board, who are interested in finding the right organization for them.
