Board Development Series: Assessing Board Performance
The Board Development Series brings you the latest thinking and practical strategies for building and sustaining a strong, effective board of directors!
In the media, among government regulators and most importantly among individual and institutional donors, governance accountability is the topic of the day.
Board self-assessment is essential to effective and transparent governance.
In this fast-paced evening session you'll learn the benefits of board self-assessment and strategies on how to undertake and complete a successful process.
We will also review several of the assessment tools that are available for board use.
Some real-life examples of how other nonprofit boards have approached this task will also be shared.
