Both Emmett and Elsie Geiser spent their careers in education and were committed to the students of the Pajaro Valley Unified School District. Emmett was involved in athletics as a coach at Watsonville High School and the stadium is named after him. In her will, Elsie Geiser established this endowed scholarship at the Foundation.

Jennifer Okamoto is a graduate of Watsonville High School. She will major in Mathematics at California State University, Stanislaus.
Ryan Peabody is a graduate of Aptos High School. He will attend Bowdoin College and major in Biology.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduating senior from Watsonville, Aptos or Pajaro Valley High Schools
3.0 grade point average (GPA) in college preparatory courses
Letter in at least one sport
Award Recipient Obligation
Attend an accredited four-year college or university in the fall following graduation
Maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average (G.P.A.)
Letter of recommendation from the school's scholarship committee, athletic director or coach stating the students athletic and academic achievements
Financial need is considered, but is not a determing factor
Scholarship Amount and Duration
Two $1,000 awards
Renewable for up to three additional years
