A peer learning and support series for executive directors only!

Are you an executive director looking for affordable help and support in meeting your personal and professional leadership challenges?

These two-hour monthly sessions, co-facilitated by Mary Hiland and Bob Kardon, will give you:

• An opportunity to build supportive relationships with your peers.
• Real-life tips for tackling your work-day challenges.
• Help in being an effective leader.
• Help in making positive change within your organizations.
• The opportunity to identify areas for group learning.
• The benefit of a co-led male and female approach to learning.
• Your own time for private one-hour individualized coaching or consulting with the session facilitator of your choice.

What do we expect from you?

• Your commitment to attend every session and fully participate (during the first session any scheduling conflicts will be addressed).
• Your agreement to honor absolute confidentiality regarding any and all information shared in the sessions.

Mary Hiland has more than thirty years experience in the nonprofit sector—both as a board member and as an executive director. She is an executive coach for new and experienced nonprofit executives, managers, and board leaders, with a Ph.D. in human and organizational systems (focused on nonprofit leadership and governance). Mary is a trainer with the Center for Excellence in Nonprofits and has taught nonprofit management and governance at San Jose State University. She has been recognized by her peers and the community with several community service awards.

Bob Kardon was both the co-founder and executive director of the Santa Cruz Community Counseling Center and the California Association of Nonprofits (CAN). As principal of Kardon and Associates, he provides organizational development consultation to nonprofits, government agencies and universities. He assists in transforming critical points in an organization’s history into a revitalized mission, more focused strategy and increased resources.
