Mary Hiland has more than thirty years experience in the nonprofit sector—both as a board member and as an executive director. She is an executive coach for new and experienced nonprofit executives, managers, and board leaders, with a Ph.D. in human and organizational systems (focused on nonprofit leadership and governance). Mary is a trainer with the Center for Excellence in Nonprofits and has taught nonprofit management and governance at San Jose State University. She has been recognized by her peers and the community with several community service awards.
