Project 10: Groundwater Monitoring Wells in the Aromas and Purisima Formations

Lead Agency: Soquel Creek Water District

Project Description: To install up to three new dedicated groundwater monitoring wells (screened at different levels) to monitor inland groundwater levels and quality; to evaluate the impacts of local pumping on shallow water levels; and to improve understanding of the hydrologic connection between the Aromas and Purisima aquifers which supply drinking water to the region.

Grant Amount: $150,000
