More ways to give

In my last blog post, I talked about a donor-advised fund as viable alternative to a private foundation.
Are you tired of filling out 990PFs for your clients?
When it comes to supporting charitable causes, your clients probably fall into two common camps: those who give based on metrics and measurement, and those who give out of an emotional response to a cause. (Of course, some clients may be a mix of those two purposes, perhaps tilting more in one direction than the other.)
I’m surprised at the number of nonprofits that invest their extra cash (reserves, campaign funds, etc.) in a bank account or CD. In today’s low-interest environment you might as well stuff it in a mattress.
